Real Madrid have officially started their pre-season tour after arriving to Los Angeles. Their first game will be against LA Galaxy on August 3 in the Home Depot Center.
So far, they have had two games but, according to coach Jose Mourinho, the ‘real’ pre-season will begin now. The two games they have played so far were against Real Oviedo and Benfica which they won 5-1 and lost 5-2.
But as they land in LA, there is one thing on everyone’s minds: Where is Ricardo Carvalho?
The players who are linked with a move away from the Spanish capital such as Nuri Sahin and Kaka were both part of the squad that travelled for the pre-season tour, but no one knows why the 34-year-old was not called up which is something that Mouronho will probably be clearing up over the next couple days.
This doesn’t mean that Kaka and Sahin will be part of the Real Madrid team next season though, with teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal, PSG, and AC Milan monitoring the current situation.
Real Madrid have their next few friendlies scheduled against LA Galaxy on August 3; AC Milan on August 8; and Celtic on August 11.
