Real Madrid hosted Osasuna as they continued their hunt for the La Liga title. Los Merengues were able to come out with a very convincing 4-0 win as they now have all their thoughts on the Bayern Munich game on Tuesday.

Starting Lineup:

Carlo Ancelotti knew that he had to rest some players in order to have them fully fit for the upcoming UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday. The starting eleven consisted of:

Diego Lopez, Nacho, Sergio Ramos [C], Raphael Varane, Marcelo, Asier Illarramendi, Luka Modric, Angel Di Maria, Isco, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Alvaro Morata

Real Madrid –
Cristiano Ronaldo (6′)
Cristiano Ronaldo (52′)
Sergio Ramos (60′)
Daniel Carvajal (83′)

Osasuna –

Presenting The Cup:

Since this was the first La Liga game for Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu since they won the Copa del Rey, Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos walked out with the cup for the fans to see and cheer. It was a beautiful moment for everyone as now all their attention is focused on La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. Can we get the treble this season? You never know…

Cristiano Ronaldo:

Cristiano Ronaldo was picked to start the game and he showed no signs of injury as he was able to score two wonderful long-range shots to help Real Madrid win the game. His tricks and his speed were back and it was something that everyone was surely looking forward to seeing after he got back from injury. The Portuguese was substituted on the 60th minute for Carlos Casemiro as Carlo Ancelotti wanted his main players to have as much rest as possible before the big game on Tuesday.

A Weakened Team?

Carlo Ancelotti rested a few of the main players for today’s match as he fielded a slightly weakened team against Osasuna. With that said, there were still many big names on the pitch and a team that were surely able to come out with the win. Any risks taken by the manager weren’t punished as Los Merengues won the game 4-0 and it could have easily been a lot more on any other day.

Sergio Ramos:

Sergio Ramos played tonight and seemed extra desperate to score as he was always up front and ready to receive the ball. He missed two headers during the game but was finally able to score during the second half as he dedicated the goal to his baby and also made a few flips that nobody was really expecting. The goal meant a lot to him as his face clearly showed the happiness that he was feeling on the night.

Bayern Munich, Here We Come!

Now that we have finished our game against Osasuna, Real Madrid are fully focused on the second-leg match against Bayern Munich. This 4-0 win will only motivate them even more as they will be traveling to Germany to play against arguably the strongest team in the world. In my opinion, they really cannot be any more prepared for this upcoming game but will need to fight as hard as they possibly can in order to make it to the final in Lisbon. We believe in this team. Hala Madrid!
