Real Madrid have officially announced their preseason schedule and there is a feeling of slight worry as they will be travelling across continents to play their matches and could suffer from early fatigue when the season begins.
The first stop will be in Melbourne, Australia, where they will be playing against AS Roma at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on July 18. Afterwards, on July 24, they’ll be playing against Manchester City at the same location.
When that is over, they will be travelling to China in order to play their friendly match against Inter Milan on July 27 in Guangzhou. AC Milan will be their opponents after that on July 30 at the Shanghai Stadium.
When that chaos is over, they go back to Europe as they play against Tottenham Hotspur on August 4 at the Allianz Arena in Germany as part of their 4-team tournament. The other leg will be between Bayern Munich and AC Milan. The game on August 5 will depend on the result of the first two games.
The positive side of this will be that Rafael Benitez will have some great competitions to look forward to as he prepares his team for the coming season. It will be exciting to see his ideas and philosophies and how they work on the pitch!
