Several reports have suddenly emerged earlier today which suggest that Iker Casillas and Real Madrid have agreed a deal that will see the captain leave the club this summer, with David de Gea coming in next week to take his place.

Sources such as TVE, AS, Sport, and many more have reported that the Spanish goalkeeper will NOT be a Real Madrid player next season, with over ten other clubs being interested in his services.

It is still very early to tell what will happen but these reports have emerged suddenly and are, in fact, quite reputable. I’m not saying that he will definitely be leaving, but we should prepare for it just in case. With that said, you also have to keep in mind that, at the end of last season, Casillas said that he will actually be staying at the club. As of now, it seems as though things have changed and we just have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.

Is This A Goodbye?
Is This A Goodbye?

All that I’m going to add to this now (until it’s made official) is that he will leave as the legend he was and will forever be remembered for every single thing he has given this club.
