The UEFA Champions League semifinal draw has been made as Real Madrid have been drawn against Atletico Madrid as the two Spanish teams play against each other for the fourth year in a row but it’s the first time that they meet in this stage of the competition.

Many Madridista’s were keen to avoid playing against Juventus in the upcoming round and they were given their wish but that doesn’t make the game against Atletico Madrid any easier, even if you went through Twitter and saw a lot of happy Los Blanos fans.

Real Madrid will be playing the first-leg at home, which in itself makes the tie more difficult, but of course this is in no way an impossible task for the men in white. They’ll be relishing the opportunity to advance against their bitter cross-country rivals but they cannot afford to get too ahead of themselves during the match.

Nevertheless, it will be an extremely intriguing tie and an extremely difficult one to predict. The other semifinal will be between AS Monaco and Juventus as they fight to book a place in the UEFA Champions League Final in Cardiff, Wales.
