Real Madrid were able to book their place in the UEFA Champions League Final against Juventus after beating Atletico Madrid 4-2 on aggregate in the semifinals.

Here is our starting lineup and bench during the night:

My Personal Player Ratings:

Keylor Navas – 7/10

Made a mess of Antoine Griezmann’s penalty and had a few problems when distributing the ball throughout the match but Keylor Navas was a beast otherwise. Kept Los Merengues in the game with some great saves and held his position well.

Danilo – 6.5/10

He’s getting better but this wasn’t a game that he’ll want to remember fully. He made some magnificent interceptions but also made a few mistakes which caused problems for Real Madrid.

Raphael Varane – 6/10

Cheaply giving away the penalty after a completely unnecessary tackle on Fernando Torres was the main talk of his performance. Otherwise, he had an average game and drastically improved during the second 45 minutes.

Sergio Ramos – 7/10

Like the full Real Madrid backline, he also faced problems in the first half and was a massive improvement in the second. Had to be careful though after receiving a yellow card during the first 45 minutes as another one would have seen him missing the final.

Marcelo – 7/10

Not his usual self as he couldn’t move forward too much with Atletico Madrid attacking but once things calmed down, he was able to do what he does best and helped Real Madrid quite a lot when moving forward.

Carlos Casemiro – 6/10

Nowhere close to his best performance as he got his customary yellow card and had a lot of problems distributing the ball. His defensive part was good but otherwise it was a poor night for the Brazilian midfielder.

Toni Kroos – 7.5/10

A great game from Toni Kroos as his calm and his distribution kept Real Madrid in control during a time where they really needed it. Another good performance from the German.

Luka Modric – 9.5/10

A brilliant performance from Luka Modric as he stole the show on the night! The Croatian did everything well and was able to cause countless problems for an Atletico Madrid team that were doing everything in their power to move forward.

Isco – 9/10

Another shining star in the Real Madrid team as he was able to move the ball forward with incredible skill and was a constant threat throughout the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 5/10

Nowhere close to a good performance from Cristiano Ronaldo as he struggled to find space throughout the 90 minutes. Of course, he will be more than forgiven after his heroics in the first-leg!

Karim Benzema – 8/10

Real Madrid needed an something extraordinary to happen when they were two goals down and it arrived in the form of Karim Benzema. The Frenchman’s run for Los Blancos’ goal is something we will continue to play over and over again while his connection with his teammates throughout the match was incredible. Hopefully he can keep this up for the remainder of the season.

Lucas Vazquez – 6.5/10

Came on to add speed and, of course, fresh legs, to the match and did it with ease as he was continuously seen running around the pitch whether he had the ball or not.

Marco Asensio – 6/10

Wasn’t able to make any incredible impact during his time on the pitch.

Alvaro Morata – N/A

Not enough time on the pitch.
