Real Madrid were able to secure La Duodecima after beating Juventus 4-1 in the final match of the competition.
My Personal Player Ratings:
Keylor Navas – 7.5/10
Could be blamed for being off his line for Mario Mandzukic’s goal but other than that he had a great match and came out with some exceptional saves
Daniel Carvajal – 7/10
Not his greatest match and seemed to struggle to keep up with Mandzukic. Got an assist to his name though and had a better second half.
Raphael Varane – 8/10
A good match from Raphael Varane as he did his job quite well overall without many problems.
Sergio Ramos – 7/10
Had a good game but his move at the end to get Cuadrado sent off is something I simply cannot condone from our team nor our opponents.
Marcelo – 6.5/10
Had a very troubling first half but as the game went on he seemed to get into it more and more as Los Blancos finally took control of the match.
Carlos Casemiro – 8/10
A good game from Carlos Casemiro and was also able to get on the score sheet with a thunderous strike from outside of the area.
Toni Kroos – 6/10
Like many of the players, Toni Kroos didn’t start off well as he made a few costly mistakes and was struggling. The second half was a lot better from the German midfielder though.
Luka Modric – 8.5/10
A great match from Luka Modric as he dictated play brilliantly on the night.
Isco – 7.5/10
Was kept as quiet as possible by the Juventus midfield but was still able to make some damage before being substituted later on in the game.
Cristiano Ronaldo – 9/10
Two goals to help Real Madrid secure another title only added to the reasons as to why Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player on the planet.
Karim Benzema – 8/10
Did what he does best as he caused problems for the Italian defense and, even though he didn’t get many chances to score, he was still a threat throughout the game.
Gareth Bale – 6.5/10
Came on for Karim Benzema in his first appearance after being injured for the past two months and showed us some of the runs and skills that we have missed. Wasn’t fit enough to start the match though.
Marco Asensio – 8.5/10
Came on for Isco and was able to get his name on the score sheet once again. A memorable night for the 21-year-old.
Alvaro Morata – N/A
Came on for Toni Kroos but didn’t have enough time to make any major impact.
